Angelina Jolie says she cannot wait for her children to grow up and discover that they have ‘cool’ parents. She is excited about her young children learning the extent of her and Pitt’s fame, reports imdb.com.

She said there’s a lot they’re going to have to explain to them about how public their family is. What’s going to be funny is when they think mom and dad are a little bit cool. Because right now, they’re not cool mom and dad.

Moser Baer has plans to remake the Shahid Kapur- Kareena Kapoor super hit ‘Jab We Met’ in Tamil. The universal appeal of the subject has prompted this remake. Though earlier it was heard the Dhanush and Trisha are the lead pair, finally Bharath and Tamannaah are confirmed as the lead pair. It is expected to start shooting by the end of January 2009.

The search for the director ended when Kannan was chosen for the job based on his outstanding work in his debut film ‘Jayam Kondaan’, starring Vinay and Bhavana, which was well received at the box-office and proved Kannan’s ability to handle a young team.

Namitha makes news wherever she goes. She appears in glamourous outfits in public functions and thus becomes the center of attraction in any gathering. Recently she was mobbed by some passionate fans when she was acting in Rameswaram for her forthcoming movie ‘Jaganmohini’.

The unit of the film was shooting for ‘Jaganmohini’ in and around Rameswaram, for which huge sets were erected.  Namitha was involved in some hot scenes in the beach. Last week, the unit had packed up after the day’s shooting was over and Namitha was also preparing to leave the place. As she stepped out of her caravan, she got the shock of her life as many locals stood surrounding her caravan. They had reportedly tried to force their way into the caravan.

Not knowing what to do and overcome with fear, Namitha cleverly went back into her caravan and locked it from inside. Namitha made a call to her Unit members who promptly returned to the scene within minutes and asked the locals to disperse. They were only Namitha’s die-hard ‘fans’ and wanted an audience with her. But, Namitha was hardly in a mood to relent and meet them.

She then dialed an ‘important’ number in Chennai from her mobile and a police person came to the spot in a van within no time. On seeing the police van, the fans forgot Namitha and took to their heels. For the next 2-3 days, there was heavy security provided by the police to the shooting to ensure that Namitha is not disturbed by her fans.

Taare Zammen Par fame Darsheel Safary is on cloud nine. He is currently signed a film titled Bum Bum Bole, which will be a remake of an Iranian film titled Children from Heaven. Darsheel has a very important race sequence in the climax and he is currently training for it with his father.

He says, “I go for jogging with my father – this is all to get in the groove and prepare for the character but I am not undergoing any formal training.” He is also aware of his new found popularity. “I like it when people click pictures with me and take my autograph. But my seniors in school teach me about a spoof on my film titled Bechare Zameen Par.”

Director Shankar has almost created a ‘Guinness’ record. In his upcoming film more than 50 assistant directors to assist Rajni-Aishwarya starrer ‘Endhiran: The Robot’.

Each has equally distributed among them and they have been left on their own to finish their quota of work for that film.

Bharathiraja son Manoj, is working as assistant director with Shankar. Meanwhile, an assistant director has been shown the door from the Unit for ‘being responsible’ for the leak of a couple of stills from the film that was splashed on all the vernacular and English dailies last week.

Trisha films such as ‘Bheema’ and ‘Kuruvi’ have not fared well at the box-office. The actress, however, has a lot to look forward to in ‘Abhiyum Naanum’, in which she has got a meaty role to play. The movie is ready for release and decided to  release  for Deepavali.

Also Trisha has also been doing Gautham Menon’s ‘Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikkalam’. To top it all, she has got the biggest break of her career so far, as she has been signed by none other than ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan for his ‘Marmayogi’, the shooting of which is expected to begin shortly.

Currently Trisha is busy with ‘Sarvam’, opposite Arya besides having a host of Telugu films in her kitty. Trisha plays a medical college student in the film and reportedly confides to her close circle of friends and well-wishers that only recently did she come to know about the ‘end’ of her character in the film.

Hollywood star couple Brad Pitt and hot actress Angelina Jolie has brought their six kids to New York City for the first time since the birth of their twins, Vivienne and Knox. Now the whole family is staying at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York.

Jolie walked the red carpet for the first time since giving birth to her twins at the premiere of her new movie ‘The Changeling’, directed by Clint Eastwood, during the New York Film Festival.

The couple and their six children set up house last month in a lakeside villa in Berlin, where they are living while Pitt films Quentin Tarantino’s World War II thriller movie, ‘Inglorious Bastards’. He also skips the German premiere of his latest movie, ‘Burn after Reading’, to travel to America with his family.

Ajith’s upcoming block buster movie ‘Aegan’ is at the final stage of completion. According to that movie, the crews of ‘Aegan’ will soon leave for the Swiss s to shoot for a song in the film. The major portions of the film are already shot in locations inside and outside of India.

The exciting feature of this film is Ajith is going to pair with Nayanthara who after the stylish ‘Billa’, are teaming up for the film. The entire unit including Ajith and Nayan will fly to Switzerland on Monday, October 6, from Chennai. The unit will spend a week in the beautiful locations of Switzerland to shoot the song. In this song Nayan wearing hot exotic schiffon saris designed by Nalini Sriram.

Everybody knows there was a clash between two stars in Bollywood during Katrina Kaif Birthday function. So she says now she prefers to be with her non-filmi friends. Kat says that most people from the film industry are just colleagues and well wishers.

But in her free time, she likes to spend time with her friends and most of them have nothing to do with the film industry. Well, with her head on shoulders it’s these non-filmi dosts who help her feet on the ground. Nevertheless, the Kudi is flying high these days…………..

Some of the comedy sequences involving Nayanthara and the kids, Brahmanandan, Senthil and Premji Gangai Amaran have been cut, it is learnt. And the long fight scene at the ice-factory, which many feel should have been trimmed earlier itself, has also been trimmed.

The film, obviously not getting the desired response at the box-office, has been trimmed by 22 minutes.

Vishal said that the editing has been done to make the film crisper as the first half seemed to be too lengthy. Of course, many  people who feel that there are still sequences that could be avoided, like the “Paal pappali, vella thakkali…” and the seemingly unending fight towards the end of the film.

Vishal is not ready to accept that the film is going off the rails. He holds that it’s too early to come out with a verdict. The families, he feels, are yet to come and watch the movie and he believes that things will go smooth for ‘Sathyam’.
